Freddy Fender Biographer to Hold Book Signing and Meet and Greet at Rancho Alegre Conjunto Festival

On Saturday May 5th, Tammy Lorraine Huerta Fender will be a special guest of the Austin Tejano Music Coalition at the Rancho Alegre Conjunto Festival at Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater. From 2 to 10 p.m., the biographer and daughter of late Chicano musician Freddy Fender will meet fans and sign copies of her book titled Wasted Days and Wasted Nights: A Meteoric Rise to Stardom.

The book, which was released in fall of 2017, is an intimate portrait of the musical icon from his beginnings in south Texas to his rise as an international superstar. Family stories and photos illustrate the incredible story of “an ordinary man with extraordinary talents.” The author will have copies of the book on-hand at the Austin Tejano Music Coalition tent, and it is available, along with other information, on her website tammylorrainehuerta.com and other online retailers.
